Qualidade do trabalho e globalização: notas sobre os efeitos ambíguos da sociedade do conhecimento no mundo do trabalho

Resumen

Neste artigo analisamos as principais transformações que a sociedade do conhecimento trouxe para a qualidade do trabalho. Passadas várias décadas sobre as primeiras previsões do que seriam os efeitos da globalização nos mercados de trabalho, propomos uma reflexão sobre a natureza ambígua dessas mudanças, com recurso à literatura existente nesta temática. Atendemos especificamente às transformações ocorridas no campo das qualificações, demonstrando como as expetativas de que o trabalho se tornaria mais satisfatório e compensador se concretizaram de forma fragmentada e polarizada, a par do surgimento de novos riscos, novas desigualdades e novas incertezas, que vieram reconfigurar o debate sobre a qualidade de vida no trabalho no mundo atual.
